We teamed up with Outfunnel for the second year in a row to bring you our 2022 Revenue marketing report.
Optimism paves the way. As many as 62% of sales and marketing leaders expect to exceed their revenue goals in 2022 — but poor communication; lack of alignment on shared goals; inaccurate data; and struggles with distributed teams litter the road to success. We surveyed 300 B2B senior marketing and sales leaders and found that:
- 58% report their sales and marketing alignment is “poor,” “fair” or “good” — a decline from 2021, with subpar communication and lack of accurate data among the biggest culprits
- Those who have gone fully remote have the most negative outlook with regards to alignment and revenue
- 17% of teams that are more likely to use integrations between tools and share real-time insights report excellent alignment
